Is it just me or is it taking them an unusually long time to finish this hole?

A project coordinator for this project commented on one of my YT videos from June 20, 2023 "Our bulk excavation finish will be mid October..."
For all we know, they might be finishing up this week, I will check it out this week, on Tuesday or Wednesday.

My daughter will be disappointed. We walk by this site every morning on our way to the bus and she is a big fan of the "digger".

Looks like she will be enjoying at the least another month of digging.

No action, the telescopic excavator was down for repairs or maintenance.

Next week

Quote:
Effective dates: September 20-23, 2023 from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM (noise exception permit in place)

Permission is granted to the permit applicant to close 1500 Alberni between Cardero and Nicola St as they erect crane to site as per the accepted Traffic Control Plan. There will be an after hours TMP in place removing all closure and just keeping sidewalk and curb lane closed on north side.

Interesting. It was functioning fine Tuesday morning.

Yes, mast was up last night but the jib was not up as of this morning. It looked like counterweights were being delivered though, so installation of the jib could be iminent.

It's been said before about this project and I'll say it again: holy parking stalls!

Apex was just going up at 9:00am. Going to be real nice to see this out of the ground. Alberni is going to get supper busy once 1450 Georgia gets off its ass.

If we're talking about 1698 W Georgia, the tower on Bidwell and Georgia, they started excavation 2 weeks ago (I think it's been 2 weeks by now).

Not to bring up this can of worms but it doesn’t look like there has been any concrete poured besides for the crane base.

Anyway we don’t have active moderators to keep threads updated anymore, there are many threads for buildings finished multiple years ago still listed as U/C. Leftcoaster is the only mod that posts on the Vancouver sub forum with any regularity and they aren’t even a designated Vancouver mod.
