Ha! Yes. Not to turn this thread into Gehry bashing, but I went a full circle on his work: ugh! - well this is kind of cool - nope, still ugh! MIT Ray Stata building really did it for me, the ugly dysfunctional structure that already looks extremely dated. That's the thing with Gehry, I don't see his buildings aging well - in every sense of the word.

Probably the same for most aging "starchitects". Zaha has been dead for years but her firm is still Zaha Hadid Architects and everyone still says it's a new Zaha building.

I'm betting it could be Ingels - his firm has done some great pyramid-shape buildings all over the world and I'm sure this site is going to have to be pyramid shape.

It's Pelli Clarke Pelli.

Yeah, we are not Chicago. I could see Pelli or maybe Studio Gang but that's it.

Are you referring to the new, One Thousand Museum residential tower in Miami? If so, she passed during its construction. It was one (or the last one) of her designs.

BTW - I love that tower!

EDIT: Maybe George Blume knows since Gensler was the previous architect?
Yes I know who it is. And yes I’ve seen it. But I’m not supposed to know. So I can’t say more than that.

How about a compromise: simply sign up the loose lipped person (who disclosed to you what was confidential) here on the forum?

It's going to be nice, and I can't wait for the renderings. The South elevation will be interesting. The start date is set for January, and it's 100% designed.

STG Design is listed as the architect on Page 1 of the site plan. I saw no mention of Pelli Clark Pelli.

This thing is going to be nuts. Oh man, I hope they light it to show off that shape.

Amazing. Its only about 90 feet shorter than our current tallest so this is really going to poke right up there. Can't wait to see the rendering, but I can already tell I'm going to really like it. This next phase of construction may very well be our best. 2021 is going to be a skyline game changer. This building alone is going to be a game changer and hopefully set a new standard, and isn't it about time... (as well as 6 X G, very honorable mention.) A 100' spire would make it our tallest, just a thought...

The top of the sail is roughly the height of the Fairmont spire. So it will be noticeable. Speaking of the Fairmont, the spire was lit up in multiple colors when I went by it around midnight. I wish they would do that every night.

The view from Cesar Chavez or from across the river is going to be awesome:

This one is definitely going to be visible from around my neighborhood. It'll probably hide the view of 360 completely from certain angles around here. I also grew up in a house on South First between Stassney and William Cannon, and the street behind there has a perfect view of 360, The Independent, and 5th & West straight down the street. I would expect this one will show up there also.

This one is going to turn into a beauty. Now we are going from a skyline of rectangles to a skyline of triangles! We have 3 500+ ft triangular buildings going up:

Block 71
The Republic
and now Block 185

This design is my favorite and I wish this one could be 700 ft+... Either way, this is AWESOME!!!

It should dominate that cluster of buildings, which is great! So far, I'm very interested in this one. Can't wait to see the renderings.

What are the chances it does not happen? 50/50?
