This past weekend there were some games at the stadium so I was able to access the temporary steps by Gate G and get some pics.

Some looks at the underbelly of the west end of the complex and some other longer shots.

Great shots as always, thanks! It looks like the integration with B.C. Place will be quite interesting.

In the shot quoted it is really beginning to look like a behemoth, especially when you see how far back it goes in comparison to One Pacific.

I think that's just interior finishes, on the column and wall surfaces that will be more difficult to get to once the curtainwall goes up. Confused me too for a bit.

Still feel that the hotel should've been a pointy tall tower (double the proposed height) to allow more of BC Place Stadium to show through the gaps. Almost completely blocked now from Cambie bridge this is very sad.

I am flat-out impressed with the speed that this project is going at.

All those condos next to the bridge block the view of BC Place more than the new casino.

????

One Pacific was basically started at the same time and people are already living there. This thing has sped up since moving above ground, but has really been going at a snail's pace.

When older Yaletown condos built around the stadium were lower-podium high-rises, they offered numerous stadium vistas.

One Pacific was designed the same way as the Casino: bulky mid-rise building. That's why it is blocking the stadium. The casino drives the nail into the coffin to block off the remaining views.

People actually live there?? You'd never know looking at the building at night from across False Creek...

Wrong threads, but empty? It didn't look that way when I drove by on Saturday. The LED strips on the edge of One Pacific look great in the dark evenings.

Lots of people swimming in that pool when the weather was warmer. I assume they live there...

The first curved bronze glass pane has gone in around what will be a large open balcony. Also, there is now some of the greyish glass to see under the bronze (lower right, last pic).

There's a significant amount of 'grey' glass on the shorter hotel portion now. I'm really not feeling how that glass looks with the bronze. Hopefully once they add the trim that separates the two types of glass -- particularly along that diagonal section -- it'll look better.
