It's hard to tell in the photos.... but my favorite "moment" is that the glass canopy on the Congress side extends towards the corner of Congress and 7th. Such a friendly gesture
to those waiting for the light to walk. Like seeing that.

They've definitely been very thoughtful about their street presence. Say what you will about White Lodging builds, between this and the JW they've done quite a bit to bolster Congress Ave street life.

This registers less than zero on my give-a-damn scale.

Not a shot at you, ATX.

This is just as stupid, bigoted, and ridiculous as the incident a while back on Rainey with the swastika arranged drinks. They hired a latin influenced DJ group is play at their soft opening and then insulted them for utilizing the culture that they have always influenced? If they didn't want latin inspired sounds, then don't hire the group in the first place. It should inspire nothing less than an outrage from all of us, but then again I expected you to not care.

Back in the 70s, my band was asked to stop playing earlier than planned a few times, but mostly it was because we sucked.

I don't see the point of that blank strip. If the entire side had that pattern it would look better. As it is, having that blank strip is a big reminder that aside from the notch, that entire side is a wall. It's like they ran out of paneling so they just left it unfinished.
