Thanks for the explanation of winter digging...I am no authority on this at all, just based on my own experience digging in my backyard...haha.
Frozen is better than wet, snow better than rain. The Big Dig of Wascana Lake and deepening of neighbourhood lakes were done in winter.

I believe the work shown in this picture is associated with the sales office for No. 1 River Landing Condo. Although, work on the actual parkade will start very soon.

Has anyone had any issues with registering for this project on their website? I have tried on several days and several different times. It all seems to work fine, but then I never get the "confirmation email" sent to me once I have submitted. I have emailed the "contact email" directly to explain my issue/frustration but have not received any response back.

Anyone else??

If anyone has an inside contact with this development, it would be great to have them post reliable and accurate updates on this site now that it seems to be officially started.

I'm so excited this project has finally starting, better late than never.
I'm assuming it's the underground parking for the entire site that gets built first then in a couple years we should see above ground development to start to rise from ground level for condo/hotel first then the other two towers as office space needed.

Interesting that this development has been a point of contention between the mayoral candidates with Atchison a proponent for the project while Clark the lone concillor against tax break on Riverlanding & Moore against the development entirely back when Gathercole was still being protected for historic reasons and while Moore was part of Meewasin Valley Authority

Currently, only the underground parkade for the Hotel and Condo is being constructed. The parkade under the proposed office towers will be built in the future.

Looks like they are busy constructing their sales centre building on the adjacent site.

i'm not sure if you tried to be humble or anything but Our Calgary has tons of this. and the Condo over there are tall and awsome. I guess you never visited Saskatoon before. This new project is 1 block away from the ghetto part of downtown . It might look Awsome on the render but once built it isn't going to be exactly like in the render.

The "ghetto part of downtown" in Saskatoon is not bad when you compare it to certain areas of Vancouver or even Victoria. Saskatoon is quite a liveable city.

The river landing river front is fantastic. The landscaping is great, a lot of money has been spent making it a show piece. With the art gallery and other buildings in that area that block is a real show piece. I can see why it went so quickly.
