Yup reliving history.

The guy on the left is George Willig climber of the World Trade Center Twin Towers and to the right is Philippe Petit the World Trade Center tightrope walker. This picture was taken at a meal in the Windows on the World Restaurant thrown for them.

Over 150 employees and guests of Windows on the World were killed on the morning of September 11th, 2001.

Windows on the World was the highest grossing restaurant in America in 2000.

I hope the moderators don't hate me for this, but I want to dedicate this song to the Twin Towers and the people that died there. I just think it is fitting.

Nice Roadcruiser. I'll tell you something though. Every time I heard this song in late 2001 or 2002 it always reminded me of how much I missed the Twin Towers being there and they weren't anymore.

From the old WTC website, as seen through Internet Archive.

"The World Trade Center is proud to have received the Middle Atlantic
Regional Building of the Year Award and the New York City Building of
the Year Award from BOMA—The Building Owners and Managers Association."

Before the WFC. If I had to take a guess, this is probably from 1975-1978. Deutsche Bank is completed, the antenna atop the North Tower hasn't been constructed yet.

The iconic New York skyline I grew up with in the late 70s/early 80s.
