Looking at the skyline in your pic reminds that I have watched almost every one of those buildings being built. I always remember the BofA building being under construction. It stuck out like a huge sore thumb in those days. I dound this vid clip that shows the skyline around 1967 68 ish http://www.flickr.com/photos/32912172@N00/2674101664/

Cool vid clip--I too watched almost all of them being built and especially remember the Pyramid under construction. I still love that structure today and very much appreciate the BofA tower too.

I can't figure out what the problem is. Again, when you open a window to quote his post, you can see how he did what he did and it looks right to me. Furthermore, after closing the "quote" window I can see the pics, but not before. It's weird.
thanx bt for the heads up. maybe you actually have to type something as text along with the pix in the message section?

I did this exact same thing and got the exact same result. I can't for the life of me figure out what is going on.

Is it because I use a mac? Is the format of the pics or the website to which they are posted? Is my computer haunted? The strange thing is when I posted a pic from another website - the LA pic and SF Moon pic it worked fine....

I use a mac and sometimes a Unix box. I wonder if it has something to do with the photo sharing site you're using. You might try Flickr.

oh well we have plenty of pics of this thing anyway. Its just a big ole chunk of concrete right now. anyway. Although if "Jerry" up there at Fox could get a little zoom in on those two elevator cores that would be nice. Im tryin to match the size up with the unit locations... something doesnt match up...I need a closer look. Also, do any of you have this google earth thing. I just downloaded it last night and started messing with it... there went four hours of my life... its amazing. I was actually able to figure out what my view will be from any particular unit in the new building.

Cool photos! Where'd you shoot these?

I didn't realize how the buildings step up to the southeast corner quite so dramatically. That hasn't been clear to me from the renderings. I would have thought they would place the highest point on the corner of Mission and 8th, or Market and 8th. I'm sure SOMA Grand would have preferred that, anyway.

I saw this pass the sign-in security desk in the lobby of 1145 Market St. The model revolves on a turntable inside a display window. There is one other window with a small slide projector presentation. New to SSP is the model itself only. Sorry, I don't have a photo of the overall displays.

The building along Market St. is the next one due to be constructed, right?

are they going to build them all one at a time? or are the other two going to get built simultaneously once the first tower is finished?

I think that they will all be built one at a time. And BT, as far as I remember, the Market St one is next. The entire existing complex will be torn down after the first new building opens, then the land will be part parking lot, part construction zone for the second tower, then the parking lot will be developed last (as far as I remember).

nativeguy - does this sound right?
