At ~230m from future subway station this site should be prime for some TOD, imho.

Also I wonder how the grade is going to be at the east end (E 6th Ave and Clark). This picture gives some clues but will be interesting to see with the large grade change from west to east on this site. Where group of people standing on the sidewalk by the EastVan sign is the 2nd or third floor of the office.

The 2nd floor is at ground level at the east side of the building while it looks like Clark is level with the 3rd floor. There is a 36m setback on the east side with a garden and pollinator meadow.

Src: 2022 article: DAILY HIVE: Lululemon moving forward with new Vancouver headquarters office complex - Kenneth Chan Jul 27 2022, 2:31 pm

More recent article:

DH: Lululemon's expansion exempt from limits on hiring foreign workers - Sarah Anderson Jun 2 2023, 11:30 am

"In 2022, Lululemon opened a 120,000-square-foot office expansion by leasing the newly built The Offices at Burrard Place in downtown Vancouver.

Lululemon is also working on a new purpose-built headquarters office building in Vancouver’s False Creek Flats. Planned as a 214-foot-tall, 13-storey building, it will sit on a 2.8-acre site at 1980 Foley Street, on Great Northern Way near the VCC-Clark SkyTrain Station and the future Great Northern Way-Emily Carr Station. The building will initially become a hub for 2,000 workers, with space to eventually grow to up to 4,000 by the early 2030s."

Any news regarding the Lulu HQ? Are more approvals needed, I don't recall.

They need a development permit, as far as we know no application has been submitted yet.

The site on Foley continues to be a construction staging ground for the Millennium Line expansion, so LLL is probably leasing it out until next year at least.

Didn't they file some paperwork last year?

For the first time in more than two years, Lululemon has signalled it is moving ahead on its plan to build a new purpose-built headquarters office building in Vancouver’s False Creek Flats.

A development permit application for the project was filed by the project’s local architectural firm on May 5, 2022.

On July 20, 2022, Vancouver City Council approved the “Approval of Form of Development” of the project, based on the submitted development permit application, which will be reviewed and decided by City staff — likely before the end of the year.

The Burrard Place lease is until October 2032.

Also the curious can have a look at the comments Daily Hive readers have written in response to the article: DH Article. Good times.

From what I can tell the DP was approved but not necessarily issued yet. https://web.archive.org/web/20201002...oley/index.htm

What to watch for would be a building permit here https://plposweb.vancouver.ca/Public...earchByAddress

It previously read Q4 2024, and Q1 2022 before that.

Perhaps this means they are close to revealing/submitting their new proposal.
It now reads 2028, funny they even bother updating the page.

Archetype update.

Quote:
At the end of November, we will be pouring the 12th floor residential structure, marking the start of the penthouse level with family-sized residential units. We anticipate the residential structure to be topped off in December and the on-site residential mock-up suites to be completed in Q1 2024.

The 5th floor office tower will also be poured at the end of November, the office building structure will be completed by Q1 2024.

Thanks for the cool pics, giallo. This one is a bit hard to photo graph with the fences/walls all around except from the Skytrain platform.

Nice pics - shows you how there's still lots of space for a 2nd stationhouse at the Clark Drive level leading to the east ends of the station platforms.
