Any word yet on where the new Sounds ballpark is going to go? I sure hope they pick one of the riverfront locations over the old Sulphur Dell site.

Nothing new as of last fall. PSC Metals, a brownfield metal scrap yard, has said they're looking to relocate operations further down river, north of downtown. I think this site has the highest shot really.

NHL commish: Nashville will get an All-Star Game

This is related to the MCC being built because it is really the sole reason why Nashville couldn't get it before, lack of space and rooms.

This looks like a great beginning to the revitalization of the riverfront.

Its good to see this article about the Medical Mart, I was beginning to think that this was going to die. The article also states that construction is expected to begin this year. If so, I wonder what other developments this would spur.

House of Blues eyes Nashville med mart site

Well now, this could get interesting.

"The world's largest live entertainment company wants to build a new music venue downtown, with the space currently slated for the long-delayed Nashville Medical Trade Center as a leading site.

California-based Live Nation Entertainment Inc. wants to bring House of Blues – a music venue that seats 1,000 to 2,000 people – to Music City, and the company is trolling downtown for viable sites, according to various entertainment and commercial real estate professionals."

Nashville's Bridgestone Arena likely to get upgrade

"After construction on the new convention center and its headquarters hotel is finished next year, Metro Nashville government is expected to turn its attention to possible renovation projects at Bridgestone Arena.

Mayor Karl Dean has said he believes the new Music City Center along with the Omni hotel will combine to create a new entertainment corridor along Fifth Avenue South. Dean spokeswoman Bonna Johnson said there have been long-term discussions about possible projects that would allow the arena to complement the convention center and hotel."

Here's an aerial showing the Demonbreun Street and 4th Ave sides which are basically all blank walls.

Core to develop apartment building near Hillsboro Village

Small but it is infill in a very hot neighborhood.

"Nashville-based Core Development Services and local real estate investor Donald Seitz will co-develop a three-story 15-unit apartment building that will anchor the southwest corner of the Magnolia Boulevard and Wedgewood Avenue intersection.

A name for the Hillsboro Village-area building has not yet been determined, according to Core partner Aaron White. The price tag is estimated to be $2.5 million and the land is already zoned to accommodate residential, he added."

I'm all for the House of Blues looking at the old convention center to create a rush or some competition for the Medical Mart. I am 50/50 on the Medical Mart being built, and hopefully they will find their remaining tenants, but the House of Blues also means major money.

With the new MCC, Omni, Hyatt and hopefully the Sobro, and Tony G's hotel coming to the Sobro Neighborhood, the south facade of Bridgestone needs to be addressed...in a major way. We will see what happens.

@BigBen12120, if I have some free time here in the next few weeks, which I should since school is almost over for the semester, I'll see what I can do on Photoshop. lol

Also, I'm gonna try to make it to Nashville for one of the Preds upcoming home games against Phoenix, anyone down to get drinks before the game to talk about all of these proposals and construction taking place?

Man, I'd definitely be down if I was there. I was going to try to make it down for either a Preds or Grizz playoff game but my car's transmission decided that wasn't going to happen.

I can give you at least this much from Giarratana.com, just no Omni in the view.
