Yup, No tilting and only cantilevering! I would guestimate sometime in end of 2026 or early 2027 for topping off.

Impressive! Are those bunches of rods going to turn into columns, for underground parking stories?

Edit -- I hadn't looked at the pics before posting, clearly not, they're just all way too close. A full slab is going to be poured at that level, I assume?

Yeah - they'll be connected via a mat pour that will distribute the weight of the building more evenly across them.

I would think the mat pour should be somewhat soon - within a few months. They have a lot of rebar to lay for that. Then vertical construction will start.

These big towers in Miami clearly require much deeper and larger foundations per height than buildings up north. Okan and Panorama towers had similar mat pour sizes to Petronas Towers and this will probably be the similar - although I think this required more piling work.

The beginning of the most dynamic supertall project in the Americas!!! Hopefully, more supertalls (including One Brickell Plaza, which hopefully billionaire investor Stephen Ross can make a supertall again), can transform Miami from just another beach and resort town, into another major commercial, economic, and financial center of the Americas!

Yea, hope there are no issues. Okan made me worried.

The design is a little awkward but it'll be interesting to see how it turns out in real life.

No! That was the thinking prior to 1980 at the time. Of course, Miami has grown into "just another beach and resort town". Now, Miami is a cosmopolitan commercial and economic center for the Southeast, as well as an important city in Latin America due to the instability of that region and the largest number of international banks in the US.

The highest construction loan ever granted in Floridian history was just awarded to the developers. The $668 million dollar loan will secure construction while crews begin concrete pouring for 36 hours today.

That means that the concrete core will be finished by Monday. Can't wait until the first pieces of the foundation are done.
