I'm not sure if this is sarcastic or not but I'll respond anyways.
I agree that the City needs water amenities that are accessible. I just don't like the idea of building a big indoor one. I prefer the smaller scale splash-pad features in parks like Central, at the Forks, the one at Fort Rouge Park. They always seem to be really well used.
If we really need indoor space, I'd rather see inner city community clubs with pools get the funding. I imagine a giant water park would be built way out in the burbs somewhere. Given the demographic makeup of neighbourhoods in Winnipeg, I doubt it would be a "water park for the poor".
