According to the latest census in the Quad City area Moline also has around 13% hispanic, Silvis was close to 16% and East Moline is hovering near 20%. The rest of the cities are all between 5 and 10%. Many of the local Hispanic neighborhoods have restaurants who deal first with the locals who live there so I'm sure the food is authentic enough and hasn't been dumbed-down for the Anglos.
Also, once while at our local blues fest in Davenport I overheard some naive visitors who couldn't believe Iowa had so many, *gasp*, black folks. I almost turned around and said "Are you fucking serious?"
I think they expected to see Jethro selling corn along the street and Ellie Mae in denim cutoffs fanning her crotch with a People Magazine.
