Looks like the hole at the site of the former gas station at Osborne and Stradbrook is filled in again. Hopefully with the remediation work done the site can now be sold and developed.

^^^At 2 pm yesterday they had a drilling rig, and concrete truck on site.

I am not sure if this was for soil testing or not.

Kind of past the Corydon strip a little but piles are going in for the new two story commercial/office building at the southeast corner of Corydon and Wilton.

Looks like the apartment building at 435 Wardlaw (where the beer vendor was) will be opening up in December.

Maybe PPP will pick up action on the Portage Ave site with this one getting on.

Found this on the ICI Properties Website. At the corner of Donald and Scott St:

Looks like 1.59 acres has been conditionally sold. The website lists the estimated density as 346 units. The land would be need to rezoned from industrial to residential. I could see the City supporting high-rises at this location.

Rehab for Hair and Tring5 are both open today

A couple of high rises there would be a HUGE step in the right direction. I just took a look at "Donald St and Scott St" on Google Maps and that area is absolutely bleak. Unacceptable for a location that is walking distance to Osborne, Little Italy, and Downtown.

I say tear it all down and plant the seeds for a new urban core. Think of what Vancouver did with Yaletown or Montreal did with Griffintown. Both those areas were industrial, run down areas. Now they are some of the newest, most desirable neighbourhoods in each city.

IIRC, that area along Donald is part of the TOD something or other zoning district and is slated for high density. Would need to check the local area plan for the exact boundaries.

Page 32 and 33 at the link. This site is partially in the red zone (high-rise TOD) and partially in the yellow black cross hatch zone (mid-rise TOD).

I went to Tring5 on Saturday and the coffee was pretty good! Definitely a nice addition to the neighbourhood. The interior of the courtyard building is really cool.

They were back digging up the lot at the corner of Osborne and Stradbrook again today. Not sure if this is still soil remediation or what?

The house at 103 Bryce St was demolished yesterday. It had been boarded up for several months. I would assume a new duplex or something similar is going in. Can't find anything about it online other than a demolition permit.

fraction copy and paste

Also, Google Maps satellite imagery has been updated. Looks to be from about a month ago. Nice to finally get rid of the previous winter scene.

It looks like the vacant lot at 320 River Ave was sold. I don't see any listings for it online anymore. It was up for sale for over a year and the asking price was $1.2 million.

That'd be a real swell spot for a nice 6 or so story midrise.

Still no movement in the Zü's or Osborne Terraces' CRUs. Does anyone know how much they're charging for rent?

As someone mentioned on Reddit, apparently the A&W at Osborne and River has closed suddenly.
