Not only do they need the space, but this tower will only hold a fraction of it’s New York City workforce. Still, this will be the headquarters tower.

Meanwhile, other new office towers are being built because of demand. Not all segments of the office market are doing bad.

I'm dying to see the insides once finished. Especially the extra tall amenity floors.

That's the neighborhood of Hell's Kitchen and is not zoned for highrises. There are talks to lift the zoning FAR requirements, but, there is also a lot of opposition to it.

Jamie D discussed this building in a recent Bloomberg interview. He stated that the top 150’ will have a programmable video screen. He mentioned, for example, that the American flag can be displayed on the Fourth of July.

Messrs. Dimon and Griffen are giving the City great gifts with their iconic towers. Hopefully, Rechler’s proposed icon will rise.

Awesome, as of now only Salesforce in SF and ESB do light shows / LED displays. I think they're may be one in Miami or Vegas that does as well but well shorter.

EDIT: Also Wilshire Grand in LA, at least the top part.


Some of the skyscraper light shows in China or the Middle East are spectacular.
