Nice Promotional For Tyler

Great video. I hope they place more emphasis on restoring exteriors of these buildings as well. And, eventually offer living spaces too. The place is massive!

the corner of euclid ave at 118th is looking great. i love it.

wondering if someone lurking through these posts can help me. is it common to divide townhouses with only wood and not masonry in NEO?

thanks.

Things are looking like they are starting up again. Also, if the casino bill passes, there will be about a billion dollars in buildings right there

shoreway view

Its gonna be something. I always drive on the blue shoreway bridge and to see a nice new building stick out will be a breathe of fresh air.

That's a nice looking casino. I really hope this amendment passes.

I know it's supposed to go in the Flats, but what part of the Flats exactly?

Why is it that so many people want the Casino amendment to pass? I don't see how it is going to positively affect the city.

More jobs. That's how. And also a nice building to look at in an area where there's too many parking lots and ugly structures.

It will create construction jobs when it is being built and of course casino jobs. A hotel won't be attached so it won't hurt any surrounding hotel businesses.

Now, I'm not expert but it sounds to me like this amendment could be good for Cleveland.

I don't want to turn this thread into any form of a debate or argument. I was just giving my two cents.

I think the best way to explain the support for the casino initiative is the post in the following link at UrbanOhio.com's forum http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/inde...sg,430656.html

Of course there are the potential negatives - problem gamblers, diverting visitors' disposable income from area businesses, etc. It's hard to compare the proposals for Ohio (including Cleveland) with casinos in other states because the dynamics aren't an even playing field.

With the new aquarium plans (along with many other plans for the West Bank to revitalize the entertainment district), are there any plans to make the West Bank more accessible?

I think a bridge connecting Main Avenue in the East and West bank of the flats would be a good idea (indicated by the red line on the pic):

At the moment, no - but a pedestrian bridge would definitely go a long way in making the West Bank more accessible from downtown. I'd like to see one crossing the river from Settlers Landing near the Waterfront Line station to the Powerhouse/Nautica.

Yeah both areas are good for a bridge. I was just thinking of connecting the new Flats East project with the West Bank to make the Flats more united. It'd be nice to see 2 new bridges connecting to the West Bank but that's VERY wishful thinking.

By the way, I'm surprised you haven't posted about the proposed port relocation plan. It's actually beginning to look very possible, but it will take 20 to 25 years to create the new land used from the Cuyahoga River dredging.

The plans are for a new port on lake Erie off of E 55 St, leaving behind 200 acres at the lakefront for new development! Here's a pic of proposed plan:

Seeing as the Port Authoritys bond rating just got downgraded I woudlnt hold out on the port relocation being on any fast track or any track for that matter.

As for a pedestrian bridge, would be very nice and I have often thought the same, just remember it needs to be able to go up and down and the part of the river mentioned (settlers landing) is about 200 ft or more across. The Cuyahoga as you well know is a working, industry heavy river especially once you get around the Scranton Peninsula North Bend.
