Did they ever decide what height on those? I think I saw initially around 15-stories, but then heard maybe up to like 21-stories.

^ ^ ^ I was talking about if they are going through with a pedestrian bridge and/or streetscape improvements to make it even slightly possible to cross water st. to the condo's and riverside park. A few years ago Main St. Mobile put out a publication that included a goal of scaling down water st. a walkable size. That public space plan can be found at www.mainstreetmobile.org And as far as floor count on the condo towers, the last rendering i saw had either 24 or 25 floors; which is on the towers' website.

oh, but I don't know about the bridge and all. I wish they would. I thought they approved some of the funding last year for it but I could be wrong. The web site says 22 stories in the annemities part about the towers.

yea, I think they were going to put some condos in there. I've heard banging comming from it about a year ago. They might still be working on it but aren't really talking about it.

Some investors out of NOLA bought it for condos and backed out. It's got a decent occupancy rate so they are just collecting rent now. It's got a freaking 80% + rate and they have spent zip on improvements, so they are waiting. Plus they spent a whole $650 grand on a 12 floor building! What a bargain. I'd like to see condos or a main line hotel chain.

Not that I have heard of. The building looks to need a lot of repair.

Here's a link to a neat video tour of part of the hotel and a shot from a 31st floor office in the tower. Follow the link and click 'watch this video'.

Here's an up-to-date picture that I took today. It's through a car window, so...
