I can’t imagine that’s a ladder? Maybe used to drop things into the whole as a pulley system? Idk lol

In the picture above that bottom one, it definitely looks to be set up as a ladder.

Lots of action today and structural steel set up in the middle - should be a lot more action going forward. This is such a large hole, the photos don’t do it justice. It’s starting to set in that I’ll be missing my view of Warman/Martensville soon, but the new neighbors and retail will be so awesome.

I’ll be out for about a month but expect a good update end of January.

New style of building for sure for maybe all canada but once they get going-it looks like they have a core platform, this thing will fly up.

btw, those inner posts aren't reinforcements (well, sure okay) but they be structural too. This is far ahead of what ya think if you base it on dirt removal

Cool to see that they have a climbing scaffold set up around the north core. That should help things move along quickly.

Saskabusher, are you talking about the 3 freestanding columns in the latest photo? They certainly look like structural steel columns. Given Baydo's ownership of Luna Metals and the construction of their Broadway building, I'd expect this will have concrete cores with structural steel framing everywhere else.

Curious as to the rest of your comment - Are you suggesting that the tower construction will proceed first, with the parkade construction to take place around the base of the towers later on?

No, all at the same time- instead of d underground parking hole done first, right? The core, the sides and the digging go all the same time. messy, dirty and maybe a bit unsafe but its still workin at the moment. you can see the thicker vertical steel is there to stay, they have wings for horizontal beams to attach. and theres a good solid wall of concrete foundation north. lots we didn't see before

Only a couple of weeks. And basically no progress. Not surprising.

thanks for the picture roryn1. It looks like the north core has reached ground level, and those two columns to the right of crane look 1st fl above ground, right? Also the thin across pit beam, round middle, thats between buildings, so its thinner, I think. cool

Thanks Roryn1, that does look like a decent bit of progress. And thinking to their Broadway project, once they get things going, this could go up surprisingly fast. Those steel frames are so interesting.

Yes thanks Roryn1 for pics looks like things are speeding up, will be exciting to see construction move past ground level. Looks like there will only be 1 crane I take it?

Let’s hope for 2… I assume this one would eventually be dismantled or jacked up more to make way for a second crane either on the 25th or 5th ave side of the project… who knows though.

I was away, but it kind of looks like they covered the slab - just like how they did on the other side… so maybe they let it settle for a month or two like the last time… then they initiate legit concrete pour for the parkade.

Good update.

The underground levels keeps me interested. It's weird having tiebacks for the south tower's sheet piles on the 5th avenue side and some weird bracing for the north tower that will make forming/erecting underground levels extremely hard.

It has been almost two years since they first broke ground and they are not even close to ground level on a shallow parkade. It is absolutely embarrassing.

A lot of action today both on ground removal and steel being constructed. I’m low key sad that this action is happening as it’s getting very loud lol

Nearby residents are in for a noisy summer ha
