^ I've seen the Cheeseballs several times at Harlows. They're a great (and fun) band.

It's funny: Aura went SF Symphony string Quartet. The Towers go with the Cheeseballs. I guess they're trying different approach and I can't say I disagree with them. At least it's better for more of a party-type atmosphere anyway...

not too bad at all. In 22 months, Saca has:
announced plans for the project,
got the building designed,
beat Old Man Bowtie,
got the plans approved,
Signed a world-class hotel,
signed a gym and spa operator,
demolished the existing building,
took over 500 refundable deposits,
gained a $100M equity partner (the best one out there)
Obtained $375M in financing,
signed over 300 nonrefundable contracts with deposits exceeding $20M,
cleared the construction site,
and announced an official groundbreaking.

while the entire time beating objections and trampling over the doubts of pessimists and other small-minded people who said it couldn't be done.

Wow! That's much different than the last time i walked by. I think that was during the Jazz Jubilee. It looked like hell then. I'd be so antsy if I bought a place in the Towers. I'd probably be out there trying to frame it with some 2x4's.
