Nakheel Unveils Palm Jumeirah's Next Resort Complex
Quote:
Government-owned real estate developer Nakheel not only specializes in building sprawling properties across prime sites, but their extensive land reclamation projects have created completely new areas for vertical growth. They envisioned three artificial islands extending from the Dubai shoreline into the Persian Gulf. In 2006, the smallest of the three — Palm Jumeirah — was completed. It created an entirely new neighbourhood, consisting largely of luxury villas, that has become the epicentre for opulent hotels and resorts. The 1,539-room Atlantis is unquestionably the most iconic hotel on the island, and it will soon be accompanied by another sweeping resort when Nakheel's Palm 360 project is opened.

With the scheme laid out and the financing completed, Emaar Properties and Dubai Holding are putting the plans into motion, as a ground breaking event on Monday officially marked the beginning of site work.
