HCA building $200M data center in Davidson County

Great news in terms of the city's largest corporation staying within Davidson County. While not a skyscraper or within the core, this should give a sizable shot in the arm to the Antioch area. Antioch has definitely seen better days, back in the early 90s really. This will move the IT people currently in HCA corporate HQ building #4 to this center.

A correction on this: as all persons in HCA Corporate Headquarters Building 4 are IT personnel, only data center employees will be relocated. The remainder will remain in Building 4, as many other IT functions are fulfilled from Building 4. (I am an HCA employee who works in Building 4.)

Ah, gotcha. Thanks for the clarification. One of my good friends and fellow rugby teammate works IT in #4.

Rock City Machine moves from Third for Hyatt Place

I figured I would post the article here. With Rock City Machine completely moved out, demolition will hopefully start in the next few weeks.

WOW!!!! What an update!! I can't thank you enough gannman for all of these awesome construction photos! It's especially meaningful to someone like me who no longer lives near Nashville. I really appreciate it. It truly is amazing how much is going on in the city right now, and it's just the tip of the iceberg of what is likely to come in the next couple years!

I think my favorite projects of all those going on are those like Vista Germantown, 11 North, and Elliston 23. I know people love skyscrapers and dreaming of height, and I do too to some degree, but what Nashville desperately needs even more than height is projects like these that will once again help to renew the strong street wall that we lost all those decades ago to so-called "progress", and that is such a vital characteristic of healthy urban centers.

Again, thanks, and well done!

I really, really hope the city devotes some money in coming years to burying power lines, at least along the more important thoroughfares. Not only are they just downright unattractive, they are also just so antiquated and 'small-time' looking.

music city center is fantastic. It looks like the exterior is almost finished. A bit concerned about the grand ball room. It is an opponent for the overall design.

Gannman, thanks so much for posting these construction photos.

I'm very pleased with how Vista Germantown is turning out. It looks much better than I expected based on the renderings. Eleven North looked to have a huge impact on the North Gulch area the few times I've passed by it. I hope it's a catalyst for the area immediately around it.

Northwestern Mutual does own a lot of that surrounding property, we'll see what happens. Hopefully an Atlantic Station type development that has been discussed on here and other boards.
