Last time I was in town, we took my daughter to the Dr. Seuss Experience at the GRB - and after we'd finished, we started walking the halls. It was the first time I had been inside since it had been updated a few years back. Saw one of these large common areas and was blown away. They are natural postcard shots for downtown from a view that's being used more and more as time goes on.
I'd also forgotten the balconies were even there, so we went out and it was great to spend some time in the fresh air. It was at midday on Friday, so there was a lunchtime concert with some really good live jazz going on that really made the moment.
Next time I am in town, I will try and get up there again. Hopefully 1550 will be peeking above the treeline soon enough and I can get some photos as it ascends. The new tower on Crawford is fairly visible but you're limited by the Marriott and Hess. I know it will be even more prominent by then.
