thanks for the updates.

i sincerely hope Hendricks has more projects in Boise. they really do things right as shown with the Warehouse and now Hotel Renegade. if they do, i hope it's on a much larger (and taller) scale, too.

those photos show that there's still a TON of empty lots that are prime for development in the downtown core. sure hope to see some new proposals come to light soon.

According to someone connected to the AC / Element Marriott project told me at the Highlander Friday that the pool has been changed to a spa because a large building will shade the pool. The rumor continues around builders and building inspectors of the high rise going up on the other half lot next to the Marriott and across from Simplot HQ. Also OxBlue.com has time lapse cameras on the project.

for those of you who didn't see the design review committee meeting that reviewed the Marriott hotel, you can watch it here... the presentation starts at about the 50-minute mark:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8B-...YTA5f&index=19

during the presentation, there are multiple mentions of the southern property being developed, but there was some doubt cast during the discussion on when that would be, and what it would look like. i guess we'll just have to wait and see. it may continue to be a surface parking lot for the next 20 years for all we know.

I'd LOVE shade at the pool. Direct sunlight would be a no-go for me. Can't wear sunglasses in the pool so it's too bright during the day. Not to mention needing sunblock.

Positioned among snowy mountains, rivers, lakes and canyons, Boise is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. In the summer, hikers have access to more than 180 trails, and in the winter, skiers and snowboarders enjoy prime terrain. Its proximity to all elements of nature has made Boise a popular spot in recent years, with a 2.86% increase in population due to net migration between 2021 and 2022

Just drove by the ICCU Tower site and the base of the crane is officially installed. I'm guessing we will see the crane coming out of the ground anytime now.

I saw that as well yesterday. More crane spotting photos will be on the way soon.

A nice, bright red crane for the skyline.

Nice, but not surprised. The Greenbelt, ample parks with hundreds of acres by downtown and the protected reserves in The Foothills, some within a half mile of downtown, place Boise in a league of its own imo.

The City of Trees is also a City of Parks.
