Nice find Accord, I totally had it wrong. I didn’t know it was a double lot. That’s one massive house!

Exactly, that road is designed for great views.

Whoa, that’s huge. Makes you wonder what’s in store with the other monster place down the street. Maybe it’ll top this one

Lol, suburbia complaining Joe Schmo might lose 10 degrees of view from a window next to his en-suite vanity while Joe Schmo himself is 18 feet further south than the house to the west of him. He’s been lucky the Architect of the new house respected his views and pitched that sideyard wall away from his.

The specific issue I highlighted was that the new house is futher up on the lot than all the existing houses.

He wasn't "lucky" - in such a scenario, it is not an automatic right for people to build up close to all of their property lines. I would not be surprised if the original design was adjusted before the permit was allowed. Your comment would be like saying that the house to the north was lucky this new house's architect didn't design an eight floor building. Such a thing wouldn't be allowed in the first place.

Looks like potentially a 7K sf footprint, so easily over 10K sf total by my estimation. Haven't measured - just wet fingering the main floor. Makes me wonder who is moving in - that's serious money there.

I think the one down the street will be bigger. This is the rough area they'll be working with and the house will no doubt take up most of the lot. Be prepared to be dazzled.

The house will not take up most of the lot. There are lot coverage maximums. Usually 45%.

It won't take up most of the lot, but even if it only takes half, it'll be a massive house. Another epic home on Crescent Road.

Many of the houses in the satellite view take up more than 45% so I'd be willing to bet it'll be higher than that.

Good job on the panos.

How many mansions are under construction now in that area?
