Totally agree...they dropped the ball on T3 and now they're kinda screwed with the precedent of this building for the rest of the towers in the master plan.

Brentwood has been very profitable. 80%ish gain since purchase back in June 2014.

I want to invest in a studio condo in Downtown Vancouver or surrounding area next. Any exciting presale coming up? This is addicting.

They've had that up since September. No shocker that it's clear, unfortunately

I can't imagine how a colored or frosted balcony would make it any better...

Why is clear balcony glass less desirable? It is preferable than colored, or frosted which would obscure your view especially when you are seated to enjoy the view.

It's better because it gives the building a cleaner look. When it's clear you can see all the crap on everyone's balconies. Just like tinted windows are better. And you can have tinted glass that does NOT obscure your view! For example, I have stayed at the Sheraton wall centre and didn't notice any view being obscured

A lot of the better managed condos has strict rules on what you are allowed on your balcony... absolutely no junk or clutter. It is not meant to be an outdoor storage space.

No clutter or junk on these balconies. Just your normal balcony living space.

And they have clear balcony glass, I sure hope Brentwood T3 has good management company.

How's the sound level in other people's units? I was surprised I can hear my upstairs neighbours' footsteps. Much quieter than my old woodframe, but still.

True. But as pointed out. Even normal balcony stuff looks cluttered. And again, tinted glass doesn't block your view!

Mine's fine, same as my last concrete unit. No sound movement between units on the same floor. Only time I hear noise from above it sounds like they're hammering IKEA furniture.

Hearing footsteps definitely isn't normal.

Here's a pic of a project in Toronto that has an abundance of spandrel
and fritted balcony glass. The striped ones will eventually form a bulls eye
pattern over the corner of the tower.

The fritt doesn't fully impair viewing from inside.

Here's a pic from 125 Redpath, Toronto:

My photo from today
Tower 3. Crane was erected this week. Now 46 floors above the podium, so like about at 49 floors right now.

It's not just larger windows. The other side where the crane mounts to the building the door placement is different and they have a wall where there should be glass.

And where the larger windows are placed.. all the other floors all have doors (the ones with vents/panels above the glass?) Maybe it's a combined two unit suite?

Ugh, that's another very unfortunate lack of detail here.
