Are you a mod? no?

Please let them decide what can or cannot be posted. Let the mods chime in and spell out what can or cannot be talked about in this thread. Most of the posts in here are relevant to development in question. I agree that the bitching and complaining should be kept in check but a lot of the posts here discuss the time cycle of the development i.e. completion dates, etc...

I and others have put ourselves out there by posting pics of our individual units. Only now to be told that our discussions about occupancy permits, completion, the tardiness of the developer should not be discussed. I am now trying to delete my prior posts here because I feel I really do not have much to add if those posts were not deemed to be relevant. FYI I have no interest in discussing the pros and cons of Spandrel on a building so im probably on the wrong forum.

Unfortunately this general process is typical of any new building. Now and in the past, it's nothing new. You need to know what you're getting into when you sign a presale agreement (and I've done it twice).

As with anything, don't believe the sales spin. Talk to others about the reality.

The reason I said shut up is because you said some irrelevant stupid remarks like " I pulled spring/summer out of my ass " . Now is that comment even respectful?

I have no idea or do I care when move-ins happen

Just tired of this forum being taken over I wish the mods would do something this is not a forum for buyers of real estate.
Yes. I totally agree. This is not the place to keep asking about move in dates. Especially when it seems to come up every week

+SpongeG

Exactly, those type of questions/rants are better suited to a dedicated FB Group or Whatsapp group chat.

Totally with SpongeG! This forum has been ruined by this off-subject matter.

this will continue, even after tower one owners have moved in... tower 2 will be delayed, and so will tower 3. my advice, better get used to it or move to another forum site.

classic tower 3 owners' questions, "why does my building look so ugly?"

It's definitely a fine line between what's appropriate and what isn't.
I'll admit I joined only because I'm a purchaser which made me have a very vested interested in how well the mall does and also how well of a construction job they do. And I know, at the end of the day, that's what we're here to discuss.

However from the point of view of the purchaser, the poor nature in which that Shape is handling the customer service side of things plays into the confidence I have in the rest of their work, ie. how good of a job they're going to do building the damn place.

So, my point is, I'm not saying that you all are wrong in that we should be toning the whining down, but this complaining is in many ways absolutely relevant to the conversation and you're all going to have to get over it.
If that's too much to handle for all of you, then mods please ban me because one thing we definitely didn't get on this forum to do is tell people to fuck off and to also pull shit outta our asses.

+1 for SpongeG. This thread keeps popping up as having new messages and everytime I click on it thinking there are new pictures of the tower under construction or upcoming towers, but it's always the same questions and owners discussing. It is disappointing and we had exactly the same issue with 3 Civic Plaza thread earlier as well.

This forum is about projects, construction and urban planning. It is not about real estate sales and a place for owners to discuss heating bills.

So true, but I did find it interesting how different each city manages DEU.

But so please take your owner concerns to facebook. I have answered your questions several times on why rental takes priority several times. I come a CM background and Shape is not currently our client. But every owner has the same questions on schedule. Mainly when will rental be done.

If you new all the little delays that cause issues with OP and general delays in this city. Example a cold or wetter than normal winter could add months. As 1 day of snow could cost a week if not 2 weeks of schedule. As it pushes stuff out of schedule.

This is silly. The owners club needs to start their own thread. Then you can talk and whine to the end of time. Some of this talk has been interesting, but the avalanche of it ruins the thread - which, as a project thread, should be focused on design and construction of the project - from the perspective of the general interest of everyone.

You guys should start your own thread - the polite thing to do. Otherwise, a new thread for this project needs to be started. There is an obvious standard for all of this across hundreds of threads on SkyscraperPage.com

Ironically, the number of threads whining about the whiners has exceeded the original number of whining threads to begin with.

Yep. Downsizing from a house so I need the space. In tower two, the larger sub penthouse units are considered the executive levels but I don’t think it’s like that for tower 1. I actually bought my unit at the same time that they were selling tower 2. When developers say they are fully sold out, don’t believe them lol.
