An offer has been made that’s why ehealth moved out great news , maybe a winners

I was going to stop by AE Wilson but had a not so good landing at Candy Cane park. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYAmKqizql8 No damage other than having to replace the props which was something I was going to do anyway as they were getting a bit rough from having landed in grass more times than I should have.

Hopefully the weather will hold out so they can get the foundation poured

There was a CTV story yesterday indicating the city hoped to have Dewdney / 11th wrapped up by mid November. That's pushing it pretty late.

I'm hoping to not have to walk four extra blocks to get to the Cornwall Centre soon.

The drone is a little quieter with the new propellers. They seems to get noisier when the blade edges get rough over time.

2 foundations left to go at the Rosewood Avana project. Paving started at the Skyview project. Just about out of the creek at the AE Wilson sewage expansion. Moving westward with pipe for a new east/west road in Westerra, having started at the far east end. I just noticed in the Westerra photo there is a stretch of land cleared to Sharp Park, so maybe the road will be extended to there. A sign went up recently advertising commercial land for sale bordering the park.

I'm going to guess with 99.999% certainty that a move has been in the works for a while and has nothing to do with a rumour of a future tenant. These things don't happen overnight.

I can almost guarantee that the eHealth space will never be retail again. There are still 3 other floors to fill with retail and the top floor will be last as it has been converted to office and does not have direct access to the mall. Ideally you would have one retailer take the main floor and basement and another take the second and third floors. But tenants that big do not really exist anymore for downtown malls.

Looking at it this am, another layer of asphalt is required.

Another $11.4 million permit was issued for the PTI Transformers expansion project at 1155 PARK STREET . This one appears to be for the office portion.

Maybe the new library will take up the space

Last layer of paving at the Grand Coulee roundabout. Starting to install the permanent lane markings. Bringing in a lot of base for the truck stop parking lot. They were grinding out an eastbound exit lane that was for the temporary Grand Coulee access.

They seem to be building up the area where the Costco building is going. The pipe work has made a full loop of the site. They appear to be adding a direct entrance to the Costco site beside the lift station. I didn't notice when I was flying the drone so didn't get a decent photo of it. An excavator was working in the ditch and there were culvert pipes next to it. It was on the development application and is only for traffic coming from the west.

And a few I took yesterday but never made a post for.

I'm starting to think the city didn't realize they needed zoning height variance for the aquatic centre until they were about to put shovels in the ground. They should be able to make up the lost time by the 2029 opening.

The Candy Cane park pipe looks small in the photos but the inner diameter per the label is 2.1 meters and each one weighs 10,000 kg.

It looks like the Costco building pad is leveled. Nearly every large commercial building pad I'd seen they excavate down then drill piles. But for the Costco they built it up and are now spreading road base over it. The road base might be in anticipation of working in wet conditions so the pile driller doesn't make a muddy mess.

I took a few videos.

Looks like Regina will have two Costcos by Q2 2026. Idk how these deals work but ISCs records still show Westerra development Corp as the owner.

Thank you for the drone video of downtown I was pretty good. All we need is a couple of new high-rise one never know what is in the works. Eventually something will have to be built.

The Candy Cane Park work isn't supposed to finish until next spring. What a huge project.

Simons has been very cautious in their expansion across the country, but I wonder if Cornwall has been in touch with them to see if that's a possibility.

The city has been doing storm water upgrades all over the city in recent years. I'm not sure if there was insufficient capacity or maybe some older neighbourhoods had storm water connected into the sewer pipes. Heavy rainfall can tax the sewage pumping stations.

Ronald McDonald House second floor on the go. Got pictures of both of the infill projects south of the General. Cleared a bunch more trees from the south section of the Glen Elm trailer park demolition area. Starting to rip up the roads. All the power poles are still up. Took a video in addition to photos.
