1 - Essentially yes except see #2 below.
2 - Hotel section (bottom 18 or so floors) untenanted as of now, and probably will remain so for a while. Unless there is some new deal announced in the next couple weeks, you can definitely expect no hotel there by August. Next best thing for an Aug 2009 visit is Swissotel, Fairmont, or Hyatt, all within 1 block radius.

Also, an emerging possibility is that the developer could market the hotel section as apartments or condos, eliminating the possibility of any hotel forever (if condos) or for many years (if rental apts).

I don't know if this was already pointed out, but this is the largest building ever built with a woman as the head architect. Just an interesting fact.

Largest in terms of height or square footage? Also, what about master plans for cities or communities? Marilyn Taylor (of SOM, now head of PennDesign) has done quite a few large-scale projects, even though they aren't highrises.

Yeah, EarlyBuyer, your updates are much appreciated. A huge thank you.

jc5680, that shot is fantastic. The diversity of styles is really breathtaking. Too bad for the POS obstructing most of Aqua. Which building is that, anyway?

Probably one of the tallest, but I'm guessing Zaha Hadid is doing taller buildings in Dubai, Europe (assuming they are built).

^^^ I would assume by framed they mean "interior walls built out" not floors poured...

To clarify, I meant the interior walls have been framed out up to the 56th floor

Forumers-

I just stumbled across this thread, which contains thousands of non-credited photos mirroring this one.

Has it surpassed BCBS yet in height? From the above post, Aqua currently stands 73 floors high.
