The Arena District is the best thing to ever happen to Edmonton's skyline.

Lebreton Flats is finally getting some serious development in Ottawa. Pictured on the right is the brand new Ascent tower by Claridge, and behind left is the two tower Odenak Development by Dream, of which the taller tower will temporarily be the second tallest in Ottawa-Gatineau upon completion.

I like this angle of Calgary's skyline. It's showing only about half the skyline, but still looks pretty badass.

A view from the 100th floor (yes SkyTower is on 100) looking north to the (former) tallest building in Canada... yes SkyTower has now passed One Bloor West in height. Happy super-talls Canada.

Wow, I can almost see my building from that view. I can't believe Skytower is almost topped out.

Maldive I like your tagline

circa 2008: home of the 3rd best skyline in N.A. +++ circa 2028: home of the 2nd best skyline in N.A. (T-Dot)

By 2028. there will still be some debate over Toronto vs Chicago, but there will be a lot less of it, and going forward after that, less and less.

A few Ottawa shots.

From urbottawa on Skyrise. Zibi/Downtwon/LeBreton cluster. Building u/c to the far right will be the tallest in this shot when completed at 36 floors, with its twin at 31 (Dream's Odenak project). Current tallest is the bronze International tower in the middle (Place de Ville Tower C), next to the hotel with the revolving restaurant (Marriott, also part of Place de Ville).

Combined Little Italy/Dow's Lake skyline along Line 2 of the O-Train, which goes between buildings on the right. Ottawa Community Housing will start construction on five towers at once in early 2027 (2x8, 20, 24 and 30) behind the white u/c building in the middle of the frame, and we have many more 30-50 towers proposed/approved in the area. And a 65/56/23 complex, but I'm not expecting that one to ever be built.

And here's an Ottawa CBD shot from local francophone newspaper LeDroit.

Potentially the most unflattering picture of Edmonton one could find.

A lot of it is very suburban in nature.
