24C (humidex 32) and partly cloudy in Moncton at 10 AM, going up to 28C (humidex 37) later this afternoon.
The air remains unstable, with more showers and thunderstorms expected this afternoon and overnight. Again, things feel very much like Florida out there (as it has for most of the summer). Perhaps this is what has revived the palm tree on the Avenir Centre plaza.

Fort Beausejour/Fort Cumberland National Historic Park in Aulac, NB (about 50 km SE of Moncton). The fort has a unique history having been involved in action twice during it's history (Battle of Fort Beausejour (1755) during the Seven Year's War (British victory), and, after it was renamed, the Battle of Fort Cumberland (1776), during the American Revolutionary War (another British victory, this time over local rebellious colonials, and some American militia). Photo found on Facebook. I have found a couple of local photography groups on Facebook recently. I will endeavour to include a photo with most of my weather updates.
