I'm a member of the public and I want a tall structure, so don't tell me that I wouldn't accept it.

Still though, even a seven storey structure on top of a parking garage would add a significant piece to our skyline given how high the elevation of the site is. A 9 or 10 storey building in Peel Plaza would most likely look taller than either city hall or Brunswick House, and help balance out Brunswick Square to a certain degree.
He's right, I don't want a 22-storey building there, I want a 32 storey building there...lets push in the opposite direction then...

As a resident of wellington row(one of the very few), I would love a 22 story tower in my backyard.

Bike rentals set for waterfront

A company that rents bicycles to tourists will work out of the little Red School House this summer season. Jet Boat Inc. will use the old school house at Market Slip temporarily because it is located at the Coast Guard site, which is going to be redeveloped into space for a major hotel, housing and businesses.
Well it's nice that no-one has forgotten about this, but WHEN WILL IT HAPPEN!?!?!

When a new developer is chosen and the city secures the deal. Clearly the feds are willing to play ball - look at Long Wharf - so why the detail.

Thinking of Hardman, I checked their website and perhaps my memory is failing me but it looks like they have revised the look of the exterior for the expansion a bit. It seems to indicate that they are using a bronze metal finish, whereas I was under the impression previously that they were going with a silver/aluminium look. Also, that top rendering looks a bit like the Regional Hospital to me as well.

"Medium Bronze Metalic" with Bronze Reflective Glass according to the sketches I've seen.

I wonder what is going to happen to the lighthouse that currently rests on the market square roof.

Has anyone heard if Google plans to shoot in any of the smaller towns (i.e. Fredericton, Moncton, Sussex, etc.)?

rule #1 on SSP:

Don't call Moncton a "smaller town". They'll be on you like white on rice .

Nothing official, but with their track record elsewhere, they will at some point.

To be honest I want another ~20 storey building in Peel Plaza just so that Brunswick Square looks less phallic.
