I guess democracy dies on the petard of social progressivity..........
I literally gave you an example of a recent incident where I thought that 'cultural appropriation' policing went too far. We were having a civil discussion until the 'anti woketarian' brigade showed up like the Proud Boys to start a fight and then claim they were victims. The righteous indignation that I have seen belongs solely to the anti PC, anti anti racism crowd.

Look closely at this series of images above. That's what woke is. And that's why sane people are "railing" against it.

The civil discussion was just no one disagreeing with you making fun of certain people. Same thing happened with the Ugly Canada thread which you and Molson managed to steer in the exact same direction.

That being said this is a thread based on a meme, so I guess it's the proper place to toss all this garbage.

Everyone's getting deplatformed or whatever but there they are on platforms, talking about how they don't have platforms.

Give me one of those smokes, Ben.

I wasn't even participating in this thread, just reading it, enjoying the levity and camaraderie. Didn't really seem like a place that needed disagreement (or Rousseau's millionth chicken little tantrum). Sometimes people can just be friends.

I'm not a mod, I don't really care. It's just a common theme I've notice in O-tacular threads that he loves when everyone piles on to the same "bowlofanuses" jokes to validate his opposition to conservatism, but immediately cries foul when anyone on the other side joins. A thread that started about the shit we're all dealing with with Covid "somehow" pivoted back to an old picture of a random person at a political rally from the aforementioned Ugly Canada thread.

Notice I engaged in the debate, I never once called to shut it down. The pic from the MOGA rally was posted in response to someone comparing Molson's old boss to him. Which was a spinoff of a discussion about shitty jobs. Which was a spinoff of a discussion about workplace burnout. An organic evolution of conversation. What I hoped this thread would achieve since there's only so many unchanged construction photos of the One that I can handle seeing before I go full Cage.

Yeah enjoyed him on SNL Weekend Update. The crazy right wing brain worms got to him early.

Agree.

I see 3+ new pages a day and the same 2-3 posters back slapping each other.

No such thing as a 'fun' thread or 'off-topic' thread because they all turn into people complaining about visible minorities and millennials and those damn woketarians these days. They all eventually become old man yells at cloud.
OH MY GOD!!!

I think it's intentionally meant to stir up shit, that's kinda been Kid Rock's thing forever.

I do like that Monster Truck song, they're from Hamilton

Some real good zingers in the Comments:

Kid Rock makes music for people who hold their pencil with their fist clenched.

Kid Rock's birth certificate should serve as an apology note from the condom factory.

If “a cup of water filled with cigarette butts” were a genre of music, this would be it.

This should be the theme song to the Herman Cain Awards

If I transcribed that right:

"You ain't never met a motherfucker like this
kiss my ass,
You can suck a dick sideways,
my way,
on the highway"

Truly a magical way with words . He knows what he's doing though. I'm sure plenty of people will unironically eat that up.

Kid Rock is 50.

Some artists can age kind of gracefully. Some even find their new voice as life changes. Or they can at least do the greatest hits without being completely sad.

However, some turn into Axl Rose.

Kid Rock (shouldn't he be 'Adult rock'? 'Geezer rock'?) is closer to Axl Rose on that spectrum.

Some of us never listened to Kid Rock. I was more into the Club Kids scene.
