"Edmonton's 23rd homicide victim of the year beloved leader of Eritrean community".

Edmonton is now @ 23 (Which is relatively high for a Canadian City so far this year as it stay's Canada's Murder Capital).
Edmonton's Population is nearly 1 Million However. (Although this is a rate of already 2.4 Per 100,000 Residents).

Edmonton's Black Homicide Rates are going up too. Black on Black Crime is going up in the City Limits.

Well for an American City that large & with as large a Black Community as u guys have (& still growing), I think it might be one of the better US Cities for Crime overall. (If u guys stay below 80 I'll be somewhat impressed).

Toronto went two weeks without a homicide (although there were plenty of non fatal shootings and stabbings), until a fatal shooting today brings this year's total to 31.

POPULATION NEARS 261K AS CITY RELEASES TWO GROWTH PLAN REPORTS
For immediate release: July 17, 2015 - 11:05am

https://www.saskatoon.ca/news-releas...h-plan-reports

"Saskatoon’s population at 260,900 people,” Director of Planning and Development, Alan Wallace, says."

https://twitter.com/cityofsaskatoon/...91837612929024
"Population: 260,900. Projected increases between 2% & 2.5% long term - like adding a city size of Humboldt each year."

That was even 1 year ago almost. (So nice try using 2011 Number's to make the City Look Smaller).
As for Crime Rates, I dunno why don't u visit or ask someone else? I'd say the large Native Population is a big Factor though, but its still safer than alot of places in the US so chill its not like its THAT bad.

I just went with Wikipedia's numbers and it was 2011 population not trying to make it look worse but on that note it is still worse then pretty much every other Canadian city with a rate of 2.68 already. I'm surprised you don't know why it's so high there you usually know everything else.

SF is at 21 after two murders this weekend: a man was shot dead in a SOMA nightclub, and a man was stabbed to death during a brawl in the mission district. Also it's been ruled that the dead man found in a lake in golden gate park last week was indeed the victim of murder (and torture).

Alot of it has to do with the large Native American Population/ Community!
The Cities with large Native Communities in Canada tend to have much higher violent crime rates I thought I answered that already. Saskatchewan historically (along with Manitoba), have always had one of the highest crime rates among all Canadian Provinces, its more or less a representation of Socio Economic problems in alot of those area's.
Still better than the way it goes so downhill in the US. Now u can assume if it was a US City those rates would be at least double or triple what they are, but because its Canada its still controlled FAR better.
