Corpening Plaza Watergardens & Park

Built by Piedmont Airlines in 1987 as a gift to the city.
This is the same design firm that designed Paley Park in NYC and you'll see their signature waterwall / waterfall. Corpening Plaza Watergardens & Park hides a large underground parking deck attached to an airplane-themed green glass office building. A large reflecting pool, in the upper park, becomes a tall waterfall (around 4 storeys tall?), designed to be seen from former Interstate 40 (now Salem Parkway). Two arms of falls, with multiple fountains at the top, enclose the lower park space. The water features light-up at night
