Great set in post #4717. 3rd pic down goes to show the grandiose wall effect this has. It can pull it off, and its width is its best attribute. How it stands among its peers. Symbolic of the city of big shoulders.

Haven't been to the site in a couple weeks and wanted to take advantage of the northern exposure light while we still have it. Fall is only a few weeks away...

I love the concrete, but can't wait to catch the glass reflecting in the river.

Interestingly, the outward cant of the frustum, almost mirrors the inward slope of Hancock...

Gorgeous pics, Nick! Hah, can you imagine if Vista got to full structural height with no windows? The funny thing is that it's not completely out of the realm of possibility.

Thanks! At this point, I sort of hope it does. Would definitely make for a unique architectural photos.

Add in the blow through floors and that should be a pretty good idea of what it'll look like without glass in that photoshop. I think it might be a bit taller than that because from what the renderings display, the top two sections are not perfect mirrors of the rest of the building's design.

Each frustum is 11 stories. Assuming they have about 4 floors left to go on the current frustum (tough to see through the formwork screening.

Add in the next two frustums (23 stories: 11+11+1 [adding in the middle 'inflection floor]). I think they have 27 left to go.

I wonder why the cladding is not really keeping up with the structural component. Seems like they started a little late on it. In other words, surprised its not 1/2 the way up to the point where the structural component ends (portion thats still rising).

There's a bunch of discussion of this up-thread. Basically, they went with a low bidder on the windows who had never done a large scale curtain wall project before. Shockingly, the vendor didn't realize what they were getting into, and they don't yet have a working version of the window system. It will get fixed eventually, but not without some heads rolling I would imagine.

You got that right, ha. Yeah, I'll probably do some sort of before + after blend like I did for 150. This one was accidental, but am planning one for Vista a little more
