I feel your pain buddy, I agree with you.

However I do feel like itll be an awesome place to live once all of the BS is over and everything is opened.

LOL!
I hope they ARE reading these posts and doing something about the poor planning and disappointment they are forcing upon the owners. How do we hold this occupancy permit person accountable? Do i have to march to city hall myself with a pitchfork?

Why are the moderators allowing this latest wave of temporary members turning individual project threads into their own personal real estate purchase support groups to continue unabated?

These sustained personal, off-topic discussions and thread bumps are becoming ever more annoying.

Looks like your comment should be moderated instead. Other people are voicing comments related to a project. Your comment is not linked to any project, and therefore has no place in this thread.

While I generally don't agree with most of what Prometheus posts, he's quite right here. This is not an individual real estate transaction-focused forum and isn't really intended for people whining about their completion dates over and over rather than photos and construction news. People crying about renters getting to move in before owners is definitely not why I started the thread in the first place.

Isn't move in date part of construction new?

Just shows how much surface parking lots are a waste of useful space.

City hall issue OP when all life safety programs devices are in place. So that means everything meets code. So if anything as simple as a signage on bike storage room that holds up OP. Also on a project this size you have binders of information that need to be reviewed. Sign offs from all registered professionals etc. Some cities only verify so many floors a day.

Maybe they moved/emigrated to Canada after they (Zellers) closed shop.

I've met people who seriously didn't know what I was talking about when I would mention Eaton's.

They moved here from the US, and because stuff is so regional and isolated by part of the country you're from down there, it wasn't surprising when one of them surmised that it must have been an East Coast thing.

I've met Americans who don't know what 'pop' is, only to find out later that that's how they call soda drinks in a different part of their same country.

I understands all the red tapes, but doesn't all other major developments go through the same process? and they are able to complete in a timely manner. I still think Shape lacks common courtesy and simple customer relationship in not send out some kind of construction update to owners. A simple " we understand your frustration...but we are trying very hard to move everybody in by such date. Here is what we are doing now..... " Don't keep owners in the dark, we just need to be informed. The last update we had was back in June. And please don't say this is whining because this is part of construction news as well.
