Pinnacle One Yonge | 344.58m | 105s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini l Phase 1 nearing completion

Looks like residents may be starting to occupy the 65 storey Phase 1 tower.

350 Campbell l ?m l 39s l TACT l pre-construction

A huge development for the neighbourhood with 39 and 36 storey residential towers (817 units) and retail, replacing a small strip mall.

The Goode Condos | 105m | 32s | Graywood | a—A l excavation

Looking south, excavation making progress for this nice addition to the Distillery District.

The bad news for future residents here… that strip of un-excavated land in the centre of the photo below is the site of the taller No. 31 Condos project finally getting underway (see below)… so bye bye to future south views.

No. 31 Condos | 137.4m | 41s | Lanterra | Arquitectonica l shoring soon

After a long delay, this flatiron just a few metres south of The Goode Condos finally got its shoring permit… so the 2 projects will rise almost together. Another nice ‘brickie’ addition to the Distillery District, shoe-horned in between the rail corridor and The Goode Condos just to the north.

West Don Lands: Block 10 Indigenous Hub | 50.3m | 13s | Dream | Stantec l u/c

This big one starting to shape up quickly now. Yet another great addition to the West Don Lands transforming the former industrial wasteland into a huge new neighbourhood filled with build-design excellence (imo).

^What's the likelihood of Union Center moving forward?

In this office market, not likely, unfortunately.

A lot of these large office proposals seemed to be chasing tech tenants which were swirling around pre-pandemic which have since disappeared.

hard to say, if it and the other office proposals in the city snag an anchor tenant construction will begin almost immediately. If not it seem the developers are ok to wait it out for years until that happens.
2 big towers, 3 if you include the well and under construction right now because downtown had very low vacancies 3 years ago.

For Union Centre I don't mind waiting because it would completely block the faboulous 160 Front West from the skyline when it's built

Lots of updates to a few of the larger redevelopment plans in town:

The downtown core viewed from across the lake featuring 160 Front Street West (TD) u/c. Interesting how the lake appears to rise above the bottom half of the towers. Pinnacle's super-tall SkyTower will join this view near the far right of the photo.

2077-2105 Royal Windsor Drive | 97m | 29s | Slate | Gensler l pre-construction

Big changes for a parking lot wasteland in Oakville. Some may not like it but I’m a big fan of the muscular warehouse aesthetic of the podiums (though there’s little existing architecture references from the site).

Wouldn’t mind something like this from the Slate and Gensler team for downtown, where the warehouse-podium design idea makes more sense… and has already been introduced beautifully by CentreCourt with their 55 Mercer development.

^ not a halt at all.

The mech floors slowed things (very different floor-plates etc. of course) but they've been laying a ton of cable and rebar for the next floor, and amid the first bit of snow (in a very long time)...

... they're pouring the next floor.

Earlier this morning:

I guess it's the mech floors. For a while last fall, it was rising skyward at a pace of almost a floor per week.
