Any idea what the deal with Nobu is? Figured they would have been able to get their act together now that another developer took over.

The issue is that Mark Hunt was involved. I doubt the sale of the project has even closed yet and at this point one has to wonder if Nobu won't back out.

^ Ohio House can be landmarked with the caveat that the front facing parking lot be turned into a plaza.

I told you my compromise. Keep the building, turn the parking into a plaza.

I like history. I like style. I don't insist that everything be dense.

But damn it, I have no tolerance for a surface parking lot downtown. None. Zilch. Nada. And if we're gonna have one, I'll be damned if it's landmarked!

Nope. IIRC, they have a crane permit but not foundation.

I assume they need to sell some more condos. 61 W. Erie is probably in the same boat...

Here's exactly what the permit states with an estimated cost of $3M

"CONSTRUCTION OF ENCLOSED 1,055 SF PROJECTOR PLATFORM AND ASSOCIATED INFRASTRUCTURE IN EXISTING RIVER WALK STRUCTURE. PLATFORM ENCLOSURE TO HOUSE PROJECTORS FOR MERCHANDISE MART ART ON THE MART DISPLAY. PROJECTION CONTENT WILL NOT INCLUDE ANY COMMERCIAL MESSAGING."

Also I noticed demolition permits for 3334 N Clark St, 3346 N Clark St, 3366 N Clark St, and 3401 N Clark St. Are these being demolished for the flyover?
