they could really do something epic here at the fork in the river... here's to hoping something better than that horrible bus facility gets built soon!

Logan Square Development

Saw this on my walk to the California Blue Line stop. It is one of a number of similar developments on Lyndale, between Kedzie and California. This was 3 distinct lots with wood-framed cottages, now 1 large condo building. Still unsure how many units will be available, looks like 4-6.

If my newish Logan Square condo building is any indication, it will be filled 100% with young families. It's so bad we have a stroller parking issue in our lobby.

^^^I really like how that one is turning out, makes quite the impression in the immediate neighborhood. I hope the brick work turns out nicely.

There are a handful of permits issued for smaller 3 or so unit buildings on Lyndale in the last year or so.

I've seen probably 10-12 tear-downs on this one street. It started on Lyndale, east of Sacramento about 2 years ago and has migrated west towards Kedzie.

Also snapped these two on today's commute:
California and Fullerton (replaces old car wash)

Armitage and Milwaukee (replaces old parking lot)

^ Lame. I’d rather see the existing building rehabbed. This should would be better elsewhere replacing some crappy 2 story vinyl sided building or something

The housing for the projector system (over 1000 square ft) for merchandise mart was issued a new construction permit the other day.
