Tell me you can't tell these are to be real condos. See the nicer Big rendering HERE.

Per Green Development_

"Rare condo project for Denver’s RiNo" - by Justin May 14, 2015 at Denver Urban Review
Quote:
Green Development has announced that ground has been broken and construction has begun on its mixed-use project Factory Flats. This project is located at 3198 Blake Street in Denver’s River North neighborhood (RiNo). Unlike most of the residential projects that are taking shape around Denver, this development is a for-sale condo project.

Factory Flats will feature 24 flats ranging in size between 1,188 sq. ft. to 1,456 square feet. Ground floor space for retail or office use has been incorporated into this development. Factory Flats is targeting LEED and ENERGY STAR certifications and each unit will be solar-powered.

I'm loving the Fast Track improvements to the Union Station area. I can't even recognize the area anymore.

D and F Tower for giggles.

Denver - The Boutique City

Romantic and Picture Perfect:

www.denver.org

While Denver can't possibly keep pace with growing mega-cities like Dallas, Atlanta and Seattle, what does it matter? It doesn't. Over at Denver Infill there are 19 Downtown Districts listed. It's amazing the development that has, or is, or will occur in every one of these areas. Each has its own personality.

Dem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones
It will be fun - and damn amazing - when most of the new Fastracks lines are done by the end of 2018. By the end of the decade they'll add the SE Light Rail Line extension and maybe the SW Light Rail Line extension. Wish I could look out a decade and see all the transit oriented development. I have no doubt that looking ahead two/three decades that these transit bones will be critical to Denver.

Thinking of peer cities I can't think of another place aside from maybe Portland that's as much fun or awesome to live in.

I really need to stop going to other cities threads. I just get so mad that Denver keeps getting crappy square boxes while crap hole cities like Nashville are getting buildings like this.

Maybe the Confluence is the Denver version of the Nashville project??

Actually, now that you've started and now gotten me started, I happened across this post

http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showpost.php?p=7011218&postcount=2043

which is as of May 1, and this post shows a lot of development stuff going on down in Nashville. And may I add - Good for them!

However, most of the stuff there is IMHO pretty run-of-the-mill stuff other than maybe having an extra arch here or an interesting exterior color there or some extended roof-line back here, etc, and most of these buildings there could be Nashville, or Denver, or Chicago, or New York, or San Francisco, or Seattle, or Cincinnati, or Calgary, or Charlotte, or etc......

Oh, and btw.... they may be getting a 25 story Skyhouse which looks about exactly like the one now going up in Denver.

Back to the post, the one proposal that I really like over in Nashville, if they can get it built, is the 14 story Nashville Virgin Hotel:

and this is pretty much definitely not a crappy square box......

but if Nashville somehow doesn't get it, Denver should go for it....... give out some incentives if need be and add some more for extra stories........

That's pretty Kool dude.......

Would I be correct if I'm assuming that somewhere along there that you're going to be pic taking? If so, will you be posting such on your site, or any others?

Please provide info (as you choose) if that may be the case. But also please know that I (and I'm also assuming that there are many others as well who) really (and I mean really) enjoy viewing your images. Don't let it swell up your head too too much (gotta keep you focused), but you know that you have a fantastic approach to the images that you produce, and I (and I'm sure that most other do as well) can look at your productions for quite a while and be fascinated, and then wonder where the time went.....

So.......

That's very kind of you to say, thank you for all that! I'm glad you enjoy my pictures and all! It's LA (yum) this weekend, Chicago (saucy) next weekend / into the week so my camera is going to be getting quite the workout!

When I do post some saucy luffing jib crane shots, etc, I will provide the info and will probably be posting on those project's construction / city threads. This is a great community and I love contributing photos of not just Denver, including other construction projects since that's kind of my thing. Taking photos of a supertall (rare Denver word) going up is just amazing:

This weather has been keeping me from taking a lot for DenverInfill and I've been super busy with client work so hopefully I'll get back on track for Denver-related things when I get home.

As much as I like viewing your work..... seriously, the best music to my ears here though is that you are super busy with clients.... and that (hopefully) $$$$$ will be making presence felt in your coffers. It's also fantastic that you're enjoying this while $$$$$$.... not too easy to do in this world. And these clients better be treating you very well...... or else just let us know and.......

So go get them..... and of course as you may maybe have some time away from that.... and are all relaxed and psyched and all that stuff, then the Denver, etc., images will get their time. After all, I guess you've already figured out that keeping us waiting.......

All the best......

LA and its 18 million people is always going to have more cool stuff than Denver. But Denver is a way better city than Nashville, 2 or 3 nice buildings notwithstanding.

Yeah, but I'll bet you can buy a condo in both Los Angeles and Nashville. Not the case in Denver.

Redfin shows way more <$300k condos in Denver than Nashville. It's not even close. Because Nashville is a bad, almost entirely suburban low-density city.

Nashville has been on a strong economic roll but off a smaller base than Denver. Alliance Res. (and others) for example are just now ramping up in Nashville.

Austin is the city that's on fiyah. The city is looking at adding 3 adjacent blocks to their convention center for future expected expansion. Their growth is very urban with a balance between office, hotel and a growing residential component.

Development goes in cycles. Denver built several towers last decade along 14th Street. For urbanists Denver has some awesome infill going on. Consider the development in Union Station, RiNo and LoHi, areas that previously nobody paid any attention to because there was nothing to see there. "Look at me now."

Given the option I'd much prefer Beale Street; just a down home blues boy at heart.
