MARTA has consistently been rated one of the safest transit systems in the U.S. I'm pretty sure it's very simple to compare crime statistics, so your question is a no-brainer, and MARTA has a very low incidence of crime comparared to other systems. Maybe you're buying into the alarmist media coverage of crimes committed "near" MARTA stations that causes so much hysteria among MARTA-haters.
If the
crap you see is serious, then it should be reported. I'm not really sure why you aren't reporting it if it's serious, since you're witnessing it. If it isn't serious
crap, then what is your point?
As for your question about "acceptable" numbers of incidents...yes, one robbery per week is very acceptable on a transit system in a metro of 5 million plus.
