I think people on the East Coast generally look ridiculous, stuffy and uncomfortable. And this coming from a guy who wears a tie to work. I still manage to do it in a comfortable and casual manner. And yes, there are days when I'll leave the jacket-half of the suit behind in favor of a North Face fleece. It's practical. And at least I don't look so much like an arrogant SOB.

Completely agree here. I guess this may be one where people will have to agree to disagree based on the social norms they've been taught. Colorado's casual dress code is one of my favorite things about living here. When I go places and see people "dressing up" just to go out and run basic errands, it makes my skin crawl a little. They may think it looks sophisticated, but I agree with Bunt that it comes off as pretentious and arrogant.

Although, I believe the address is incorrect. The only triangle parcel is at Sherman and Mississippi, next to the new Sprouts.

Actually, as someone who lived in Manhattan for over 20 some years..... it's pretty hard for New Yorkers not to look bad since all that is worn there is black for most of the year.......

1050 Broadway is the cite of the old Center (the LGBT organization now on Colfax). It's the building with the purple awning next to the Gart Brother's Sports Castle parking garage.

I don't think people in Denver dress terribly, just casually. A big difference. We're not slobs, just laid back. Frankly, one of the things I love most about the Denver culture is the fact that most professionals here are quite content to not have to wear the silly corporate dress uniform. The notion that someone must wear a suit & tie or dress & heals to be considered "professional" is absurd and rooted in classism and prejudice. The world would have a lot less discrimination and intolerance if we stopped judging people by what they look like--and that includes what they wear.

Sweet.

How's the fundraising going for the Bike Hub?

lol! I moved here from L.A. and people seem to dress about the same in Denver, other than the coats in winter.

NYC is definitely more buttoned-down, whereas Denver is much more casual, similar to SoCal.

Such a wonderful and fun variety of thoughts, perspectives and ideas for what Denver is or should be.

Nice overall comment.

I have visited an organic farm in Adams County. It was very interesting. Amazing the disconnect (often) with the Whole Foods crowd from what it takes to grow, timely harvest and deliver the goods.

Yeah, that's why I mentioned the address is wrong. There really isn't a "north" Broadway (addressing-wise). And as others have mentioned 1050 Broadway would be near Sports Authority.

If you google 1050 S. Broadway it puts you at Broadway Station. The project is called "Broadway Station Triangle Apartments". The only triangle lot in that area is at Sherman and Mississippi next to the new Sprouts.

It's not necessarily bad (though I would prefer a more business-formal dress culture in Denver), but it is what it is.
People in SF might dress casually, but they're wearing higher end clothing. There's a difference between shopping for jeans and a tee at Old Navy and The Rail from Nordstrom.

I can't speak to the other cities, having never been there.

This is why it is absurd to think Cherry Creek would ever get a Bloomingdales. We couldn't support the Saks. We have a long long way to go before we would get department store of that caliber again in my opinion.

That's the other base design again (the one I like). Still curious which one is final.
