I did some browsing on the website for 160 Osborne St (Zu Apartments) and it seems they're leasing out apartments with an Aug 1 move-in date. So I guess we can expect the building to open up on Aug 1.

Also, it looks like 197 Osborne St (Osborne Terraces) is now leasing select apartments (not all of them) for Aug 1 move-in.

Great news, more feet on the street helping out those awesome businesses. I'll have to check out the site to see what the apartments look like.

Nice photo. It will be interesting to see the completed project. I'm so glad that they finally built something in place of the Village Inn. Last time I was in the city, it was barricaded by a chain link fence.

While busing through Osborne Station, I noticed that the long idled excavator had moved down into the pit behind 257 Osborne, and there were piles of fresh gravel present. I have no idea whether this portends weal or woe for that project, but something has happened there.

I saw The Zu in person for the first time the other day. I was taken aback by how cold and depressing it looks. A big grey box. A factory with itty bitty balconies. A less imposing design would have been nice. I don't want to be too critical though... I'm just happy to see new apartments going up in the Village. I like some of the floor plans.

Is it my bad memory, or was that where "Into the Music" was located. It has been a long time.

Into the Music was located further north on Osborne St, next to Papa George's (now Leopold's Tavern). The store is still vacant has been for several years now. It was supposedly going to be renovated into a doctor's office but it seems that has fallen through. Address is 97 Osborne St. Here's a pic from Streetview a year ago, but it still looks the exact same today:

Here are some pictures from earlier this evening.

339 Wardlaw Ave is coming along nicely. Paragon now has a website up for the building and it looks like they're referring to it as 333 Wardlaw Ave. The opening date is scheduled for Jan. 1, 2025.

Here's the rendering Paragon is showing on their website:

Ok, I am thinking of another music second-hand store that was larger than Into the Music...I remember that one, but there was one about half the distance to where Wild Planet is now (McMillan and Osborne). It had a lot of vinyl records, and a good selection of punk/alternative. IIRC Into the Music had pretty much all CD's. The one I am thinking of was on the West side of Osborne, perhaps where Wakoya Sushi is....again it's been years.

Kind of sad if I think about it. There were so many cool trendy stores back in the 90s/2000s. They have all but disappeared.

Maybe you're thinking of Old Gold Vintage Vinyl? That business is still there. It's between Sukhothai and Moxley's Rentals.

Perhaps you are remembering the original Into the Music. It was at the corner of Wardlaw and Osborne on the SW corner of the intersection where the Sushi is now. It was pretty large.
edit: The smaller Into the Music (now slated to become the medical office) actually started out as Music Trader which was opened by Movie Village. It later became Into the Music after Into the Music had already opened in The Exchange District.

Music Trader sounds like what I was talking about. Not sure of the timeline, but Into the Music at the Exchange was a club at one point in the mid 90s, IIRC. The Into the Music that was close to River and Osborne probably moved to that location around 99.
