Apologies. I was not trying to imply that SAS would begin regular AUS-ARN service.

Oh, I know! I was just hedging my comment a little lest anyone think *I* was implying it

Odd flights over Plugerville

So I was outside about 1230am and saw 3 planes but then down to 2 flying in in a circular pattern and what appears to be a loose formation then separating and still flying in a circular pattern at times opposite of each other. They've been doing this for atleast 30 minutes. I live on the southside of Round Rock so looks like they're flying over Pflugerville or NE Austin. I didn't see them on Flightaware so this leads me to believe they're some kind of govt activity. Last time i saw something like this was when NASA was flying some WB-57s on a scientific mission a year or two ago.

Anyone have any idea of what this might be?

Check local news. Downtown P'ville has been closed for a couple hours and everyone in the area has been told to stay indoors. No other public info is available.

Edit: PPD is checking out suspicious packages left at a mailbox.

There’s a poster on a.net who said there’s going to be a one-off Iberia A330 flight (charter? Maybe?) on April 24. I asked why and he ghosted. Anyone know?

Both the Norwegian B789 & British B789 will be landing at ABIA this afternoon around 4 p.m. The Norwegian flight was delayed by two hours this morning. Typically, the Norwegian flight would be departing when the British flight arrives.

Great. Now one of them will have to wait an hour or more for the other one to get off the gate...

Huh... I thought there were multiple gates (at least two currently) which could accommodate large aircraft. Gates 2 & 3?

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't there a day a few weeks ago where the SAS, Delta (AMS flight) and BA were all on the ground at the same time?

Oh, definitely, the *gates* can accommodate the aircraft (IIRC, that day SK used 3A, DL 3, and BA 2). It’s the sitting areas...yegods, I can only imagine how chaotic it’s going to be trying to board two 787s at the same time, both heading for London, in that end of the terminal where the PA is barely loud enough to work...

Or what international arrivals will look like. Doesn’t the flight from CUN come in around the same time, too?

Lol I'm sorry. Didn't mean to ghost y'all. Just been really busy and haven't been able to check either a.net or this. Seems like other people beat me to the explanation though.

Does anyone know if the 747 we're getting through BA has been refurbished? When does that Queen land?
