Image taken August 1 along Wilson Street.
Walked by today and site was very busy with activity, I noticed that the new area they are excavating had A LOT of red bricks that were under the asphalt parking lot which I thought was pretty interesting.
Took a look at HistoryPin and there is one picture in this area next to the church with the following image and discription
"
Fire which started at the rear of the I.O.O.F. Temple, a large five-storey building on Gore Street (now Wilson Street), swept through the building early in the morning of Saturday November 4, 1939. The fire was reported at 4a.m. The building was completely gutted. Costly regalia, records and equipment owned by 12 lodges that used the upper floors for their meetings were all destroyed. The loss from the fire was estimated to exceed $100,000.00 which was covered by insurance."
Guess at some point after the fire they might have just knocked down what was left of the building and covered it in dirt.
