The project looks a lot bigger than I anticipated. Didn't think it would take up both sides of the future beltline. I need to see better images and renderings before I make a full judgment...it looks like it has a good street level presence though.

And a bit of Alta's parking deck being worked on

Not a high-rise, but I'd love to see the west corners of 10th Street and Piedmont redeveloped so there isn't surface parking. Maybe when a high-rise goes in they could partner with adjacent properties to move their parking to the high rise parking deck? Then turn the surface parking into a small park or walking plaza, even keeping the current buildings. Anything but those parking spaces.

Make a little container coffee shop/bar/retail business or two like the one at Howell Mill & 14th, amidst a cordoned-off seating area (open container area). I feel like that would make a lot more money than the parking currently does.

Too bad there's already a coffee shop, bars, and restaurants on the current 4 corners parcels.

Great adaptive re-use in downtown
http://atlanta.curbed.com/2016/9/26/...tries-building

Interesting to see a new secondary school in this location. It will add to the diversity of uses in downtown. It raises a big question about the future of the current site of the high school, a prime spot right next to the North Ave MARTA station.

What's the delay on the Piedmont Hospital building on Spring? It's been fenced off for a few months.

I'm guessing Northside has to get construction financing, and it may be even harder to find than for multi-family.

Assuming you're talking about Northside medical building they still have to tear down the other building that on West Peachtree and 13th plus the front of the building is no longer going to be on Spring it's going to be on West Peachtree Street

You're being generous. It looks like they just ripped out all the trees, replaced the chain link fence with a different chain link fence, and then said "fuck it" and abandoned the site without bothering to take their Jersey barriers with them. I guess there's always next time...

Bridge

That bridge is an utter disappointment. What they did is so underwhelming, they should have not done anything at all.

Well the one good thing is.... If "the stitch" idea ever happens it won't matter anyway.

I am also disappointed with how it turned out aesthetically. However, having both walked and biked on the bridge, it is a huge improvement for non-automobile users. Hopefully it will look better when whatever greenery they put in the planters starts to fill out.

How much did this big nothingness cost and who pocketed the money?
