Why did they make the tower so close to city place?

They should have moved it on the corner so people's windows aren't right in the face of someones office.

It's kind of offset actually, but still it's a bit too close I agree. I wouldn't fork over the price they are asking for views into someone's hotel room.

From that angle/distance, hydro, that shot reminds me of some of those 1940s pictures of Sao Paulo or Buenos Aires.

^I can only imagine how Lagrange would design the Roosevelt dorm tower.
Nice shots, george.

MWRDGC not being in a mood to sell had something to do with it I believe.

Why didn't LaGrange just use the Farwell building's design vocabulary on the tower? It's obvious that he does poorly with the details of pre-war style buildings. He really should have just used it as blueprint and made something halfway decent.

^^^ The sad part is this design WAS his attempt at using the Farwell building's design vocabulary. Unfortunately ornate copper panels don't transfer well into teal precast...

^ Great photos. Probably only a few more precast deliveries left for the jobsite. The spandrel panels on the Farwell began installation last week and look awesome
