Latest Height of Towers

The sales rep told me the last official height that he'd heard was 625' for The Towers.

I'll be interested to see if both towers end up being the same height or if one is slightly taller than the other.

I was down at the site today to find the demolition crew back busting up the remainder of the mucky-muck. Activity has certainly picked back up!

I went past it last night at 1 AM. There obviously wasn't much activity then.

At 6pm on Saturday, there was activity. I was on my way to old sac and just happened to notice that 301 now has the de-waterring filtration sytem hooked completely up. De-wattering has officially begun. For Heaven's sake-it's a glorious site. In addition to the de-watering, the remaining demolition has begun in ernest. It looks likes they will have completely demolished the old structure by early next week

Now that foundation work is under way, I thought I would post the
preliminary schematic that I picked up about a year ago showing the
depth of how deep the basement will be. I'm sure some details have
changed, but for the most part this should be a good guide on what
were seeing happen at the site over the next several months. I posted it
bigger than usual so you all can read the numbers better.

Sales Office visit

I stopped by the sales office yesterday. They have new, detailed drawings of the podium. Besides the pool, there are cabanas, bbq's, fire pit, gardens, outdoor wetbar, etc. It's going to be very nice!

Also, they've put names to the two towers. Tower I is now called "River Tower" and Tower II is now "Sierra Tower."

KCRA interviewed Saca last night on their 6:30 segment. Nothing new, it was more of the same yank yank, yep I'm gonna build it bitches talk.

Can't find the link on the KCRA page, but it was all good news to report. Said construction will start soon.

Nice! Sounds like a cool little deck they've got going on there. Thanks for the update.

Sweet! Now that you mention it I can see a bit of Renaissance Tower in one of the pics...

Aura is coming together quite well. I remember a year ago the land it sits on was just a parking lot. Hopefully we'll be getting rid of a lot more of those.

I just heard a rumor that there may be a ground-breaking event for the Towers in late August that would involve closing Capitol Mall to traffic. Perhaps a concert or some sort of celebration. Not sure what their definition of groundbreaking will be...
