Nice Calg shots but that Kentucky-tub tower is even uglier than the skylon in Niagara Falls.

Here is an older shot of the Calgary tower, taken in the early 1970s:

ignorant comments for sure. i happen to love the Calgary tower. ugly is a perception that is very personal. you may find it ugly but i don't. don't get me wrong i have no delusions of it being some kind of beauty tower; however, i don't share your seeming hatred for the Calgary tower. btw it is many times nicer than that thing in NF. bashing the Calgary tower, which is a Calgary icon is unkind to us calgary tower lovers. k. lol
ps: last time i looked that big white tower in Toronto looked like................. well i wont say. i am just not that mean. hahaha

it is not ignorant to express this sort of aesthetic opinion.

It does strongly resemble a KFC bucket on a stick, but then again the Niagara Falls tower is extremely unattractive. Tough call really.

Yes this was more my point. I find most towers like that ugly though; except the Space Needle and the CN Tower (but only at night).

ignorant? Really? I used to live in Alberta (probably before you were born) so don't presume to know me.

Anyways, Bay Street canyon from the Toronto Island ferry:

York Street canyon from the same ferry:

Yonge Street canyon (Took this while running across, not too shabby eh?):

The other direction:

The Esplanade canyon from Yonge:

And the Front St. canyon from Yonge:

All photos by me.

I was in Vancouver last week. Here's a shot from the Marine Building.

Zoomed-in. It would be neat the get a look up Hastings St. the other way from the condo building seen here.
