Currently, Paris has three 1,000 foot projects approved for La Defense.

Can anyone speak about the reactions of natives in Paris? I am curious to hear how they are taking these changes to their skyline.

You mean the inhabitants of Paris.
Most parisian are born in province or in foreign countries.
The idea that Paris have their familly living in the city for centuries is wrong.
People move in the city to work and generally left it after.

About these skyscrapers, most people don't care of it.
Older people are mostly against skyscrapers but younger people are more open to tall development.

No there isn't tree 300 meters projects for La Défense but only two, Les Tours Hermitage Plaza. The other smaller is 295 meters (968 foot), La Tour Phare.

Personally, I believe this makes Paris lose some it's character.

Why ? It always be the case in the modern age (at least since the 19th century).
Paris is a city of migration.

The building permit.

The place where the tower will be built.
Before 2005, an old residencial building was located here.

For what it's worth, I'm glad that the Tour Phare is going ahead - it seems right that Paris should have something so strikingly radical.
