Here's a more detailed rendering. Minor changes made to the facade, entrance and outdoor areas.

The rendering we had looks to be a valued engineered version of this one. That would suggest that this is the older rendering.

I believe it’s current as it shows a lot more details worked out here and was recently posted on the architect’s website.

I take it the first rendering was sent out before being finalized for PR purposes.

Def an improvement
This rendering should be the accurate one. A rep told me today they were in the process of updating the university’s site to showcase the new and improved renderings. The “uglier” value engineered looking one is what they currently have up still.

I hope so. We don't usually get improved aesthetics as projects progress.

The thread says 17 floors but I count 20 floors in the rendering?

That's what I thought at first. But the top three "floors" are mechanical and the screen/crown.

We finally have a height for this project via the FAA. At 289 feet, it's taller than I expected.

Also according to the FAA, this project will have two tower cranes. Crane #1 will be 377' & crane #2 will be 258'.

This turned into a 300 footer. The site plan lists the building height as 306' although elevations are not available. But this conflicts with the 289' height listed on the FAA filing.

For anyone wanting to follow this project more closely, UT has a website that has been doing monthly photo and webcam updates since 07/2024. I just wish the webcam link was public.
